Money raised from a concert of top-notch artists that included George Jones and Tammy Wynette began the funding of the City Park. Funding from the concert and grants through the city have built the park the way it is today. The park consists of lighted basketball courts, lighted tennis courts, playground with a variety of equipment for kids to enjoy, three ball fields, open air pavilion, picnic tables, shade trees and a walking track.
